And You Know This Advocate Related Post Is Coming …

… because, man, the moment I read that story on page 2- no, the moment I finished reading that lead sentence, my mind, sanity, heart and ingenuity all balled up into a frightening avalanche that is still continuing to rumble up to this day.

Hindi ko alam kung saan pwedeng magsimula. Kung uumpisahan ko ba sa article na yaon, sa slanted picture ba ni Chris Tsuper sa center ng isang article, sa mga pagmamaktol ba ni Xan at Criz, sa mga nakakbwiset na istorya about the editors and non-editors, the fact that TABLOID-STYLE and Advocate issue, sa borderline homicide post ni Bugs, sa Admin ba or kami as past editors of the org.

Dami no? Kakahilo. But I’ve been quite sane over the matter really. Bakit? E kasi:

1. Tapos na ako. My term is done. I have done my job. The time after me would always be time for other people to shine and make something that they would be proud of.

2. What I can only do now is offer whatever time I have. And time uncanny, that I do possess.  Eto din ginagawa ni P. Bear e. May kanya kanya na rin naman kaming buhay.

Kung ano ang nagpopropel sa amin na  tumulong sa Advocate, we would say, without batting an eyelash, that it would be the experience, the time we spent on that org. Masaya. Magulo. Intelligent.

Kumbaga, we found people we can respect and people we would be proud to proclaim as friends and colleagues.

Tapos makakarinig ka ng stories of catfights, powertrips at iba’t iba pang kagaguhan. Well, I’m not one to judge lalo na kapag di ko nakita at naexperience sa sarili ko.

But oras na may makita akong unacceptable,

lintik lang ang walang latay.

Hindi muna ko magsasalita. I’m just going to teach and watch.

Kaya naman mga Advocate writers, lapit na.  Lemme make your articles bloody.

  • I really hope na mabalik sa ayos ang lahat. Although I know na may mga friendship nang ndi maibabalik, and ayaw ko na rin ibalik. Wish ko lang, hindi nahawa ung next batch of eds sa mga former.

Catfights. Love em except when there is the absence of 2 things: 1. Beauty and 2. Arena made of mud/water/whipped cream.
