… and see if your significant other really, really, and I mean really, loves you.

Suman makes the world go round.

The idea is somewhat brilliant. I am fairly sure it will thrill all those kindsof persons who perpetuates chain mails, chain emails, chain texts as well as those paranoia- induced bfs/gfs who text their respective gfs/bfs with another number to test their fidelity.

Heres the challenge: make your significant other believe that your Christmas gift to him/her is a whole supot of suman, about 2-3 bunches. Yep, suman as in suman the food. Make him/her accept it seriously – AS IF IT REALLY IS THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE THOUGHT OF GIVING. You are not joking.

Act like you think its a brilliant idea. Bring nothing else that wold arouse suspicion that you have another gift (that is if, you have another). Do not, and I say, DO NOT, laugh.

Bonus points of you can pull off these things:

• Talk about the suman being a metaphor of your relationship – you stick together through thick and thin, and are very sweet. Be creative.

• Say that when you saw these suman, you automatically thought of her/him. Why? Well, be creative again.

• Say the saying “Its the thought that counts.” at least 5 times throughout the evening. Then casually let her see the new ipod you’ve bought for yourself.

• Say that this is not complete yet. Entreat him/her to accompany you to the nearest sari sari store or grocery to buy 1/4^th kilo of white sugar. Give it as a 2^nd Christmas gift.

• Tie a big red ribbon to your supot of suman before you give it.

If I had a gf, I would totally do this. (Evil parallel version of me merged with Mr. T: …and that is why you don’t have one , fool!)

Di naman. After the test would be a bunch of flowers. The reaction would be really really priceless, don’tcha think?
